General Information
HISTORY
Our department was established in the 2006-2007 academic year under the name Department of Statistics at Afyon Kocatepe University, accepting both undergraduate and graduate students from the outset. In line with global advances in data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and big data analytics, the department has been renamed the Department of Data Science and Analytics.
GENERAL INFORMATION
In today’s digital transformation era, Data Science and Analytics has become indispensable across the public sector, private industry, and academia. Our curriculum covers statistical methods, programming languages (Python, R), big data infrastructures, and machine learning algorithms.
Graduates pursue careers as Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Machine Learning Engineers, and Business Intelligence Specialists in technology companies, finance and banking, healthcare, government agencies, and academia.
